RA Updates
On behalf of Alabama occupational therapists, Kathleen Foley (RA Rep) and Chris Eidson (RA Alternate Rep) both participated in AOTA’s Representative Assembly Fall Meeting. Many of the motions addressed administrative issues and language clarity regarding the standard operating procedures. The most exciting motion adopted was the newly created Outstanding Mentor Award. Occupational therapists from all areas of practice are eligible for this honor! Kathleen and Chris will communicate the details for this award as they are finalized. At this time, Kathleen and Chris are preparing for the RA Spring Meeting at the AOTA Annual Conference in Indianapolis April 24-26th. The RA has developed a new feedback center to gather member thoughts on upcoming motions. To review the motions and provide feedback prior to and during the meeting, follow this hyperlink: http://www.aota.org/meetingslibrary/spring/feedback.aspx In addition, feel free to contact Kathleen and/or Chris through ALOTA with any feedback, questions, or concerns.
